We kindly invite you to join us on Thursday, 6 April 2023, at 8 p.m. at KIBLA PORTAL, where Zhlehtet (Alja Petric - vocals, percussion; Lenart De Bock - saxophone, flute; Rok Zalokar - keyboards, effects) will be the first performers of this year's JUTRI Music Cycle.
Zhlehtet is a musical collective led by Rok Zalokar. It appears in different formats and combines the dimensions of acoustic and electronic sound. Rooted in the tradition of spiritual jazz, it remains faithful to the message of the moment and mutual understanding.
The collective's origins date back to 2019, when a distinctive sound was forged through a combination of live performances and studio work. The albums Toyomi and Celica are documents of this period, combining elements of live improvisation and modern music production. The next album, Portals Vol. 1, presents the collective's compositions in a jazz quintet format. The album was selected as one of the best albums of 2022 by Mladina magazine and Radio Študent. The collective continues to perform and develop its sound together with the audience and the space.
