Tschimy x Vita Kolar (VJ)

On Friday, 1 October 2021, we kindly invite you to the second concert in the cycle TOMORROW, this time joining forces with the international film festival StopTrik, when we will socialize safely at the audio-visual treat, the concert of one of the fresher expressions on the domestic scene, Tschimy Obenga, and the attractive set design and visuals of Vita Kolar.
With his EP debut, Tschimy started an online hype; with his longing, he paired the adventures of millennial generations with the vinyl nostalgia of their parents. In the fall of 2020, Tschimy launched a surprise in the form of a solo project of singer-songwriter songs. In recent years, he has been present on stage as part of Spejs collective, operating hip hop beats and DJ sets, a bassist in the jazz band Lube duše, and the penetrating voice of the African choir Sankofa. The debut of the young singer-songwriter and producer, who has thus far created trap music and developed as a vocalist, brings freshness to the Slovenian music scene. A mixture of emotional pop, sexy R&B and nostalgic neo-soul.

Vita Kolar is a multidisciplinary artist focusing on static and motion visuals. Her work combines illustration, animation, set design, installation art, video mapping, VJ-ing, AR, and a lot of flexible thinking, to create unique visual concepts. She mainly works in the cultural field of art, music, and on self-initiated projects. Her primary engagement in creation is concerned with transborder visual practices. In her works, she explores interactions between different mediums and formats, to create a completely new experience. Her works are influenced by an early avant-garde film with material touch and happy accidents that also often occur in her creations. Her visuals are vibrant and dynamic, based on the experimental background.
