CIANT LAB: CALL FOR RESIDENT ARTISTS AND RESEARCHERS WITHIN X-OP NETWORK

Period: Autumn 2009 (5-6 months)

Area: Interactive sound creation and game engines development

Location: Prague, Czech Republic

The residency aims to foster collaborative arts research and development practice.

CIANT LAB has been involved in a number of art projects making use of new audiovisual and interactive technologies. Among other things we produce creative workshops resulting in mixed-reality performances and installations. Presently we are developing several tele-immersive interaction scenarios while using 3D technologies and systems for motion capture.

For these developments we are looking for resident collaborators with experience in:

- Area of interactive sound creation (MAX/MSP, PD, SuperCollider etc.),

- Game engines development.

Prospective residents should preferably also have an advanced experience in shader programming, C++ programming or open source game engines, and other new media programming frameworks.

CIANT LAB offers a working space, access to lab equipment, technical support, and payment of 1000 EUR per month. The residency is split between participation on collaborative activities of the CIANT LAB and development of a personal project. aim to establish European platform for creation of art and exchange. With

its places, spaces and user accustomed technological infrastructure it

fosters mobility of artists, theoreticians and executives. It is built to

strengthen the pan-European and global collaboration, common production

and interdisciplinary approach to art.
